Carlos Monteiro




I consider myself a "COMMUNICATOR" a new bread with expertise of the Media universe of the 21st century. A multitasker with knowledge of all Media Channels and the wit to connect and complement content to achieve the objectives.

Incorporation, Integration, connectivity, creativity, the list goes on... all are keywords that are part of my vocabulary.

I've worked in Television, which allowed me to built my skills and abilities that go from Producer, to Writer, Director, Creative, video editor.

Also worked in the Music Industry as an A&R, Head of promotion and marketing for an independent Record Label. Where I managed the image and commercial, sponsorships deals of the artists and products.

I was an account manager for a PR&Communication agency, where I had the chance to explore all my features in a non linear way, doing digital work as web consultant and SoMe Management.

Today I'm working at an advertising company as a strategic / transmedia planner, responsible for development of new business strategies and monitoring creative teams and clients.

Work In PR&Comms

M Public Relations is a PR&Comms agency with clients such as Unilever Brands, Google Portugal, CB Richard Ellis, Nintendo, Land Rover to name a few.

As an Account Manager I had to develop strategy and communication plans, produce events for PR purposes and at the same time manage the online content for the clients. From Community Management to producing video, manage web design teams, project budgets and deadlines.

Work in the Music Industry

Independent Record Label created by breakthrough artists Buraka Som Sistema.


Position: A&R / Head of marketing and promotion.

As main duties I had to scout for new artists, manage all the Press PR for the label and their roosters, develop and create projects which integrated Brands partnerships&sponsorships, manage distributions deals with retailers and also manage the website and community.

Because of my TV production skills, I also produced and directed video promoting content:

Work in the Broadcasting and entertainment Industry

MTV Portugal

Position: Producer & Online content producer/editor

Worked as producer within the production team of 4 members.
Also was responsible for all the video content on the MTV Portugal Website for the 2008 Summer Festival's coverage.

Scheduling, programming and interviewing were my main tasks.










SIC Radical part of the SIC Television Group

TV Cable Channel created in 2001 targeted at 15-35 viewers with an averaged 10k a day. This channel has the tradition of broadcasting the main Summer festivals, also had as programming the main shows of UK Channel 4 and U.S. Comedy Central's. Shows like Black Books, Spaced, Ali G, Trigger Happy, The Green Wing, The Daily Show, South Park, etc.

Position: From 2006 to 2008 Producer and Head of Music Content

Head of all music shows and music related content. Wrote, produced and directed the following shows:

Max Musica - weekly music show with coverage+interview of live music shows- produced, directed and presenter

M.I.A. Summer Festival Paredes de Coura 2007

The Go Team! Alive 2007 Summer Festival



Wrote, produced and directed a Music show called "O programa do Zé Pedro" sponsored by Vodafone. A weekly show of 13 episodes about the backstage of bands and live music shows, a trip lead by one of the most proeminent portuguese guitar player and musician of the most known portuguese pop rock band Xutos&Pontapés.


Produced and directed a Special for the launch of Blasted Mechanism 6th album, supported by SIC Radical. Managed the sponsorship deal with the band and part of the deal was a show that featured behind the scenes content and two Live broadcasts of their music shows.


Producer for all live content of the channel. Responsible for all interviews during the Summer festival's coverage, Live and live on tape, and the production line up of the event.
